Windows is an operating system created by Microsoft Corporation. It runs on many standard desktop and laptop computers. Many users of TrackMyRide run reporting programs on Windows computers.

Small form-factor computer

The Windows version of the TrackMyRide application doesn't use a lot of resources so it is more than reasonable to run the tracking application along with any other standard Windows applications.

If you are using your Windows computer to send position information to our servers you only need to do the following:

  • Connect a GPS to the computer (usually through a USB connection)
  • Connect to the Internet
  • Send position data to our servers using one of the following protocols

The developers at TrackMyRide have created a Windows command-line application that is easy to install and configure. The development was carried out on a Windows 10 computer but it should run on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 as well as Windows 11.
